Changing Lives by Serving Others

Here are just a few of the ways that Creighton folks serve the community around us.

Creighton Food Pantry
Creighton's food pantry is located in the meeting room of the office area and is always in need of donations. All donations are welcome, but the pantry is often short of the following items.

Canned fruit with flip tops
Crackers - all kinds
Macaroni & cheese
Bottled water
Granola bars

Donated items may be dropped off at the church office or brought to church on Sunday morning. For more information on how you can help contact the Mission and Outreach Committee through the church office.

Wesley Community Center
For over sixty years, Wesley Comunity Center (a national mission of the United Methodist Church) has been assisting and empowering families in a predominantly Hispanic south Phoenix neighborhood. Over 200 children each day (ages 5-15) participate in a variety of programs. Wesley has a new Health Center and holds a variety of classes that lift people out of poverty.

UMOM (United Methodist Outreach Ministries)
UMOM is the largest family shelter in the state of Arizona and at any given time provides housing, meals, job training, day care and related to services to hundreds of families and children. Their are many opportunities to volunteer your time and services.

Justa Center
For homeless senior citizens in the Phoenix area, the answer is the Justa Center, a resource center specifically designed to help those over the age of 55 who find themselves homeless. Justa Center is one of the few agencies in the country that target homeless Seniors and has grown to 300 members. The Center serves 120 - 130 people each day.

You can help with donations of the following supplies:
shampoo (travel size), bar soap (travel size), blankets,
sheets, 8 oz coffee cups, coffee, sugar, napkins, Pine Sol,
foot powder, reading glasses, combs,

Donations may be droped off at the church office, brought on Sunday morning or dropped off at the Justa Center. Be sure to label for Justa Center.
